BIC RUNGA RELEASES NEW SINGLE ‘GHOST IN YOUR BED’

RED SUNSET, FIRST ALBUM IN FIFTEEN YEARS, OUT IN FEBRUARY TOURING AOTEAROA MARCH-APRIL

Ahead of the release of RED SUNSET, her first studio project in fifteen years, Aotearoa music icon BIC RUNGA today shares a new single from it in the ethereal ‘GHOST IN YOUR BED’. Following on from the release of the album’s title track late last year, ‘GHOST IN YOUR BED’ offers further perspective on the dreamy indie landscapes Bic takes brilliant strides through on this record.

Created between Paris and Auckland, the track serves as another gorgeous example of Bic’s creative partnership with Kody Nielson, while the legendary Greg Calbi and Steve Fallone at Sterling Sound handled mastering of the final product – a track that burns with power and intimacy in equal measure.

Of ‘GHOST IN YOUR BED’, Bic explains, “‘Ghost in Your Bed’ was another song that I'd had unfinished for more than ten years. It's a spooky song of feeling very troubled, especially on a sleepless night, when you feel haunted by something, "lying there like the ghost in your bed" and realising the thing haunting you is of your own making.”

The release of ‘GHOST IN YOUR BED’ is the perfect final piece of the puzzle to set up for the release of RED SUNSET on Friday 13 February. Fans won’t be waiting long to see Bic return to stages across Aotearoa, with her album tour set to kick off in March in Hawke’s Bay, continuing through Aotearoa into April for some unmissable live performances.
